Social responsibility is ingrained in our corporate values.
Our Commitment to the Community.
WilkinGuttenplan believes in the power of doing good things. Our commitment to continuously foster an environment that provides both professional and personal growth not only stays within our corporate walls, it expands outward. This is how “We Give” came to fruition.
Throughout the year, WG allows its employees to give their time and energy to build meaningful opportunities within communities. By tapping into shared passions, our people are inspired to improve and give through leadership and philanthropic efforts one neighborhood at a time.
Our Recent Community Involvement
Adopt-a-Unit
WG supports our troops and does not take their service for granted. We participate in the Red Cross’ Adopt-a-unit program to show our appreciation. Our collected items are donated to Red Cross Stations in the Middle East and Resiliency Centers for military service members.
Susan G. Komen: Walk for a Cure, More than Pink Walk
WG is proud to walk in the Susan G. Komen Walk for a Cure, More than Pink Walk. WilkinGuttenplan has participated in this walk for the past 16 years and is proud to be recognized among the top corporate teams to participate. This walk supports those who have battled, beaten, and lost loved ones to breast cancer. As an organization, we are honored to be able to support screening programs for those who need them, raise awareness on breast health education, and provide funds for national research programs.
Covenant House Donation
The Covenant House is an organization that provides shelter, food, immediate crisis care, and other services to runaway youth and people experiencing homelessness. WilkinGuttenplan is proud to support this organization by working with members and donating items that give these people a positive outlook on the future.
McFoods
Community Involvement is important to WilkinGuttenplan, that is why we partner up with the East Brunswick Chamber of Commerce who restore, energize and revitalize the business community. Through our partnership we have traveled to McFoods Food Bank and helped sort over 500 bins of food that will be distributed to Middlesex County residents to ensure they are receiving nutritionally adequate food and other necessities.
Old Bridge High School
Developing future leaders is a passion WilkinGuttenplan invests in. We invite the students of Old Bridge High School to come in and observe what working at an accounting firm is like. Students learn from employees about the details of audit and tax, the CPA Exam, how to advance in the business world, etc. This program allows the students of OBHS to ask questions about future experiences that they are uncertain about.
Memory Project for Grace Healthcare Services
WilkinGuttenplan has more recently gotten involved with Grace Healthcare Services, a hospice organization that services the terminally ill throughout New Jersey. With this organization we create memory books from personal magazines, calendars, cards, etc. and construct binders that are then given to the Alzheimer or dementia patients to see if any memory is stimulated. This activity is hope for these patients that they will be able to recall some of their finer memories and add to their quality of life.
Blood Drive
WG has been a proud partner of the American Red Cross, helping to contribute blood donations during times of need. This organization sees tremendous declines in its inventory during the summer months, and we are happy to have a location where we can host events such as a Blood Drive to increase these numbers and encourage people to donate.
