About Our Internships
Our internship program provides the opportunity to experience a mid-size public accounting firm and fully engage with its offerings. The program encompasses extensive onboarding and training led by various accounting professionals within the firm. Apart from structured onboarding, interns will have access to consistent on-the-job learning, and they will receive ongoing feedback aimed at enhancing their technical and professional proficiencies. Each intern will also be paired with a “buddy” who will serve as a guide throughout the entire internship, addressing inquiries about subjects such as the CPA exam and the shift from college to professional. At WilkinGuttenplan, our interns are an integral part of our firm, and we are dedicated to assisting them in honing their skillsets and achieving success in the accounting industry.

Intern Testimonials
One thing that I enjoyed most about WG’s internship program was really embracing the culture that this firm has created. I always felt welcomed and part of something bigger than just a firm or a job. The WG family really comes to life during this internship experience and I’ve never been so grateful to be apart of such an awesome team.
I think the most fulfilling part of the accounting industry is being able to help others. Whether you realize it or not, completing every audit, tax return or whatever the task my be is always helping someone out wether that be a business owner, individual or whatever client walks in the door next. Being able to help these people in ways that some other compaines and firms cant is such a rewarding feeling and why I will continue on this path in the accounting industry.
I liked the idea that it was a combination of both tax and audit. As someone that is unsure about which field that I want to go into and have limited opportunities to intern before graduating, this internship stood out to me. I also wanted to experience what it was like to work remotely as it seems most companies are now either hybrid or fully remote.
I enjoyed getting to speak with staff members who were only 3-5 years removed from college. We had some excellent conversations about adjusting from college to career and the best ways to prepare myself for the transition. We also had great conversations about how to prepare for the CPA exam. It was really helpful to hear from not only people who have passed, but from those who are currently in the process of taking the exam. Getting to talk to and learn from the partners at the intern/partner dinner was a great experience for me. The partners were very open to answering any questions we had about the profession.
The most fulfilling aspect of the accounting industry is the fact that we are helping our clients make important life decisions, whether it is tax related or investments made based on the audits we do.
